RMA (REturns) Management
The electronics industry No Fault Found (NFF, NTF) rate for electronic products is approximately 30%. This means that 30% of all products returned from the field are pronounced as having no detectable fault, and either quarantined or returned to service. Traditional returns processes do not cater for high level diagnosis of these NFF units.
It is essential for your organizations RMA process to be able to discern what is, and what is not a NFF unit, in an accurate and specific manor.
We can help your company to achieve better understanding of your RMA process, and provide recommendations to introduce a tailor made tiered returns system. Typically a four tier system is implemented, beginning at the field returns center, and ending at a reliability testing venue. This system will screen out units with functional failures by progressively increasing the stress applied to the units as each tier is breached. If required, this process can end with destructive testing to ultimately ensure there are no failures present.
On Site Returns Monitoring
Our Asia based staff specialize in manufacturing and have a wealth of experience dealing with stop ship processes, stop builds, and returns management. These situations are unavoidable at times, however it is imperative that the returns process is able to spot field issues quickly, and provide this feedback to the development centre in an efficient and accurate manor.
Our Asian based staff speak a variety of languages including English and Mandarin. These consultants are available to visit your Asia based manufacturing operation to instigate training and process adjustments by working with your local manufacturing personnel.
